Reading the announcements
Bursa Malaysia-listed companies file quarterly results as structured announcements, not glossy reports — the raw filing is often more informative than any summary written about it. When Q2 season opens, three things are worth checking before the headline profit number: year-on-year revenue trend, gross margin direction, and any change in guidance language from the previous quarter's filing.

Bursa Malaysia's own announcement portal is the primary source — always read the original filing rather than a secondary summary before forming a view.
